Katharine Maltwood’s Temple of The Stars, also named in 1925 as Arthur’s Round Table, a temple to time. As above so below, here the stars are reflected in a planisphere correct landscape. West of the Zodiac the landscape has many wonderful and magical secrets, glorius geoglyphs decorate the path to the western sunset, the path of the dead. The geoglyphs here transform this ancient burial ground into The Holiest Earth, it is believed that many great Kings rest here in this Somerset Sanctuary, so named by Caroline Hall Hovey in 1985.

As a cosmic clock this calendar piece reveals the eons and the seasons, its 13 moon system shows the lunar path. Melkin’s Prophecy speaks of the Holy Grail as the burial site of Joseph of Arimathea and relics of the prophet Jesus. This I believe to be the source of the Holy Grail stories. Melkin mentions 13 spheres of Prophecy, and that Avalon greedy for the death of pagans, was also “adorned before all others”. This was the start of my project, after thirty years I have finally discovered what he meant.
